With his sanction increased, Paolo Guerrero was prevented from playing at the FIFA World Cup in Russia. However, the action to set aside the award before the Swiss Federal Tribunal (SFT), and CAS’ and FIFA´s support, made the precautionary suspension of the sanction possible.
