On Friday 4th of May 2018, the Forth Section of the Criminal Chamber of the High Court absolved Santiago E.P. of crime against honor to the Crown and insult to Spain, for having promoted the hissing to the national anthem in the final game of the King’s Cup in May 2015, on the understanding that the content published on social media inciting the hissing did not contain insulting or offensive terms.
